In Flanders Fields

Ypres (now Ieper) was where hundreds of thousands of Allied soldiers died in some of the fiercest fighting during WWI. Battles raged to defend this slice of Belgium which gave access to Calais, the French port of high significance to the Allies.

Visitors come from all over to visit the battlefields, and there are many military museums, cemeteries and war memorials.

For a wonderful and moving experience, visit http://www.inflandersfields.be/
